Thai Yoga Massage

Therapeutic Thai Massage is one aspect of Traditional Thai Medicine. It is a complex, preventive and complementary healing art, with historical connections to Thai indigenous healing practices; Ayurveda; Yogic ideas and asana; and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Thai Yoga Massage is an energy based healing system that combines rhythmic compression along the body’s energy lines; gentle joint mobilization; passive stretching, twisting and traction with targeted acupressure point massage. It is performed in a slow and meditative fashion. The recipient’s body is moved and compressed to relieve tension and clear energy blockages but is always guided by the body’s tolerance and threshold. The practitioner’s tools are her thumbs, palms, hands, elbows, knees, forearms, feet, and toes. Sessions are carried out on a mat on the floor in comfortable, loose fitting clothing, allowing the body to move and stretch freely. No oils or lotions are used. The duration of a treatment is 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

Benefits are countless. On a physical level, Thai Massage is suited for specific therapeutic applications on shoulders, hips, legs, neck, or back. Its amazing multitude of techniques and adjustments is suited to improve posture, breathing, flexibility, immune system, digestion, circulation, and more. Muscles are stretched; inner organs toned; stress, emotional and nervous tension can be reduced and the body brought back to its natural equilibrium. Often a deep sense of peace can be experienced during and after a treatment; the recipient feels relaxed, yet energized. “Traditional Thai Massage uses the whole person to treat the whole person.”

Facial Stretch therapy

Facial Stretch Therapy is an assisted manual therapy that is done on a massage table. FST focuses on elongating, realigning, and balancing our bodies connective tissue. Stretching on your own will never provide the optimal amount of relaxation to target specific areas like FST can. Anna is a Fascial Stretch Therapy Level 1 Therapist and she will help improve your strength, balance, posture, coordination and so much more.

Nutritional Consulting

Principles of Effective Weight Management and Longevity:
Nutritional anthropology provides us with the historical, scientific evidence and the functional framework for the most effective and efficient weight management program. The basis of all our modern human functions are derived from our ancestors and it is the study of early humans that paves a clear path to our genetic future. It is along this path of human evolution that we find what foods are most effective in maximizing human physiology and function. This approach is not merely a “diet” to lose weight, it is a pattern of lifestyle choices that are designed to yield the bodies’ maximum genetic potential both aesthetically and functionally because form without function is a pointless endeavor. There is no beginning and no end to a quest for optimum health, it is the process that matters and during that process, you will learn, improve and grow not only physically but psychologically and spiritually as well. A strong body feeds a strong mind, the two are inseparable.
